Member benefit: ComDoc’s certified pre-owned program
ComDoc’s certified pre-owned machines are a cost effective alternative to the new equipment ComDoc offers. Certified pre-owned equipment is usually one (and never more than two) generations behind the most current manufactured model. It has a meter of no more than 25 percent of the system’s useful life and the same guarantees and protection as brand new models.
ComDoc is unique in its ability to offer a full line of certified pre-owned equipment. Due to ComDoc’s flexible leasing, customers often change equipment within the first year, and since ComDoc is Ricoh’s largest independent dealer in the USA, they can select only the best cores for a refurbishment process. ComDoc also has a large centralized distribution center which allows for a factory-style refurbishment.
ComDoc has a nine-step process to ensure that all pre-owned systems can have the same service pricing, financing rates, performance and guarantees as brand new equipment.
The nine steps of quality assurance are selection of a quality core that meets our standards, including meter read; strip off all of the covers and send them to the wash room; remove all of the subassemblies; an air compressor is used to blow out the frame/cavity to remove all toner particles and paper dust; all subassemblies and output are checked; all firmware updates are downloaded and installed onto the unit; overall performance is checked to include all accessories; unit goes through our QA inspector where it is “certified” - the identical process used for new machines; unit is shrink-wrapped to maintain cleanliness prior to delivery.
