How many new lawyers does it take to bowl a strike?

~ written by David Riepenhoff

Come find out at Rock N’ Bowl 2007!

On Saturday, Feb. 17, at 11:30 a.m., throw a gutter ball and still roll a strike for Children’s Hospital during the seventeenth annual Rock N’ Bowl at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace. Teams of five will raise $500 or more for the Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Children’s Hospital and celebrate with fellow attorneys and local judges. In 2006, over 100 lawyers and judges helped Rock N’ Bowl raise almost $80,000 for the Center.

Programs like those offered at the Center would not be possible without strong partners like the legal community. This month, Child Magazine recognized Columbus Children’s as the national leader in pediatric emergency care and ranked them in the top ten in several other fields. The generosity of Central Ohio businesses and residents is responsible for these high quality programs. Let’s keep this tradition alive.

The Center is a partnership between the Columbus Children’s Hospital and the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence. Led by its president, former Common Pleas Court Judge Yvette McGee Brown, the Center is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse and domestic violence.
