Real Property Law Institute - new days!
“Because of the hectic nature of Saturdays, the Real Property Law Institute committee has elected to schedule the Real Property Law Institute 2007 for all day Thursday, Feb. 1, and the morning of Friday, Feb. 2 this year,” reports chair James A. Zitesman.
Being responsive to requests for changing the days of the event from the Friday-Saturday format of years past, the committee has scheduled the institute to include a whopping 10.0 hours of CLE credit, including 1.0 ethics, 1.0 professionalism, and 0.5 substance abuse. Ohio Title Insurance Agent and Real Estate Licensee Continuing Education credit has been applied for and is pending.
“These are just some of the interesting and diverse topics to be covered at the Real Property Law Institute for 2007: what you need to know about foreclosure in Ohio, the number one foreclosure state in the nation; what the new predatory lending law contained in SB 185 will mean to borrowers and lenders; the new ALTA title insurance policy forms; how home builders get in ‘hot water;’ the impact of HB 135 on condominium boards; and how real estate is handled in divorce,” said Zitesman, who will kick off the institute with a residential update and discussion of “hot topics.”
Lunch will be provided with pre-registration for Thursday, Feb. 1 courtesy of Title First Agency, Inc. and LandAmerica Commercial Services.
The seminar registration fee for both days is $225 prepaid/$250 day of for members or $275 prepaid/$300 day of for non-members. Thursday only is $195 prepaid/$205 day of for members or $235 prepaid/$245 day of for non-members.
