Judge Klatt to visit Government Agencies committee

The first 2006 meeting of the Government Agencies committee will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 12:00-1:00 p.m., at the Columbus Bar offices, instead of the usual meeting time of the first Wednesday of the month. In February, the committee will resume its normal meeting schedule. The committee is pleased to announce that its speaker for January is Judge William A. Klatt, Tenth District Court of Appeals, who will discuss appellate practice.

Judge Klatt was first appointed by Governor Taft and then elected to his seat on the Tenth District Court of Appeals in 2002. Judge Klatt was re-elected to his seat without opposition in 2004. Prior to his appointment to the appellate bench, Judge Klatt was Chief Legal Counsel to Gov. Taft and served as a member of the Governor's Senior Management Team. Before joining Gov. Taft, Judge Klatt was the First Assistant Attorney General and was a litigation partner with Squire Sanders & Dempsey.
