Foundation Gala planned for March 10

It's time to start planning! Please join us at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Saturday, March 10 as the Columbus Bar Foundation Gala takes you back to London in the '60s.

Come and be entertained by a fresh and captivating new voice in the tradition of American satire. Chris Bliss delivers smart comedy for the information age. Now a Tonight Show favorite, Jay Leno has called him "one of the brightest comedians around." Before beginning his comedy career, Bliss was internationally known as an innovative variety artist, touring with major artists from Eric Clapton to Julio Iglesias and was chosen by Michael Jackson as the opening act for his record-breaking "Victory Tour." Insightful humor capped off with a world-class variety finale that you won't soon forget, Chris Bliss is two of the best in one outstanding performer.

The black-tie event will support the Columbus Bar Foundation and further enable the Foundation to enhance quality of life for many Central Ohioans and to promote access to justice in our local courts. Over the past twenty years, the Foundation has grown from a fledgling charity to a proactive advocate and respected supporter of charitable activities in Central Ohio. Today the Foundation administers a corpus of $3.6 million and annually issues approximately $200,000 in grants. Funding programs and projects that improve access to the courts, encourage greater professionalism, provide law school scholarship and nurture the Legal Aid Society of Columbus's Project Dignity, a program designed to aide victims of domestic violence. The proceeds from the Gala will provide significant funding to further the mission of the Foundation.
