Common Pleas judges to visit Columbus Bar

Judges Schneider, Bessey, Hogan, Fais, Crawford, Peterson, Frye, Cain, Sheeran, Sheward, Connor and Bender plan to join the New Lawyers committee for the informal Judicial Luncheon on April 18 at noon at the Columbus Bar offices.

Each spring, the Common Pleas judges reach out to welcome new lawyers into the profession and into their courtrooms. During the course of the lunch, they offer thoughts, advice, guidance and wisdom to the group of new lawyers they are seated with. First time attendees come for the chance for informal conversation and an inside glimpse of the bench's perspective on practice, court rules and other codes, formal and informal. Repeat attendees come for the chance to renew relationships or create new ones with the judges.

The Columbus Bar is grateful to the Common Pleas bench for showing such a strong interest in getting to know the most recent additions to our Bar. Their investment in creating positive relationships with the Bar helps to make Central Ohio a great place to live and practice law.

If you are a Columbus Bar member in your first five years of practice, please plan to reciprocate the bench's efforts to get to know you by attending this unique event. For those who aren't in your first five years of practice, encourage the younger colleagues and friends to attend. You can pump them for information after the meeting.

Please RSVP to Lara Bertsch By April 15 at lara@cbalaw.org or 614/221.4112. We will accept RSVP for groups of new lawyers as well as individuals.
