Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Central Ohio forms
The recently-formed Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) of Central Ohio held its first organizational meeting and opening reception. The event was hosted by Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease and attended by approximately fifty attorneys practicing in the private and public sectors in Central Ohio.
Given the growth in numbers and significance of Asian Pacific Americans in the legal and business communities in Central Ohio, APABA of Central Ohio was created with three goals: to advocate for and respond to the legal needs of the Asian community of Central Ohio; to support and identify Asian leaders in the legal community in Central Ohio; and to serve as a professional resource for Asian attorneys, law students, judges, and law professors in Central Ohio.
The elected officers of APABA of Central Ohio are Albert Lin, President; Aneezal H. Mohamed, Treasurer; and P. Jason Dejelo, Secretary. Board members are Lisa Wu Fate, Ivan K. Fong, Dawn R. Grauel, Lisa G. Han, and Daniel Tokaji.
APABA of Central Ohio invites all interested attorneys, legal professionals, and law students to partner in the work of this organization by signing up for membership and by joining the membership, events, mentoring or community outreach committees. Inquiries regarding membership or committee participation should be directed to Albert Lin at aglin@vssp.com.
