Judge Wright to speak at Columbus Bar

Judge J. Craig Wright of the Court of Claims of Ohio is the guest speaker for the Government Agencies committee meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at noon at the Columbus Bar offices. He will speak on practicing in the Court of Claims.
Judge Wright, a Yale graduate, served as a Supreme Court of Ohio Justice from 1985 to 1996. Prior to being elected to the Supreme Court, Judge Wright served fourteen years as a judge on the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. Before starting his judicial career, Judge Wright practiced law as a partner in a private firm from 1957 to 1971. After leaving the Supreme Court, Judge Wright re-entered the private practice of law with the firm of Chester, Willcox & Saxbe. In 2002, Judge Wright started sitting as a judge by assignment of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio. Judge Wright has been serving as a judge on the Court of Claims of Ohio for the past two-years.
