In Memoriam

John P. McMahon passed away May 24, 2006. He attended Ohio Northern University and graduated cum laude with his B.A. degree from The Ohio State University in 1940 and summa cum laude with this Juris Doctor degree in 1942. He began his law career as an associate partner at the law firm of Dargusch Caren Greek & King where he later became a partner. He then became a founding partner of George Greek King & McMahon which ultimately merged with the firm of Baker & Hostetler where he continued to practice until 1989. He was considered an expert on transportation matters involving the Interstate Commerce Commission, the Department of Transportation, and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. He was a member of the OSBA, the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court, Columbus Bar., Transportation Lawyers' Association, Lion's Club, The Athletic Club of Columbus, The University Club and The Faculty Club at OSU.
