The Columbus Bar Association Civil War group is an informal group of attorneys, judges, and others who meet roughly once a month September to May to hear presentations on topics related to the Civil War. The Group meets at noon at the CBA for roughly an hour. The presentations to date have covered such topics as finding the spot where a great-great grandfather was shot and killed in a Civil War battle, tracing the route of Booth's escape from Washington, the court martial of Gen. FitzJohn Porter, and the use of artillery at Gettysburg. We are always looking for new members and new presenters. Anyone is welcome to attend even if they are not an attorney.
Eric Wittenberg, attorney and Civil War author, discusses Jubal Early's raid on Washington D.C. in 1864.
