Free E-Filing Training Opportunity

Free training for Civil case filings is being provided by the Franklin County Clerk of Courts. The final training session will be held on October 25 on the 25th floor in Meeting Room B of the Franklin County Government Center, 373 S. High Street. The one-hour training starts at 9:00am.

Opportunities for New Lawyers at the Columbus Bar Association

The Columbus Bar is currently accepting applications for the Columbus Bar inc Professional Development Center until November 4. We are also accepting applications for the Barrister Leadership Program, through November 7.

Columbus Bar inc is an incubator program intended to accelerate the successful development of new lawyers in an environment that provides an array of business support resources. Attorney mentors are also being sought for this program. Learn more...

This program is designed to help new attorneys (5 or fewer years of practice) develop leadership skills, connect with influential leaders in both the legal community and the city of Columbus, and build a successful law practice/career. The new "Small Firm / Solo Practitioners After Hours" informal networking series offers an opportunity to meet attorneys in diverse practice areas and discuss the successes/challenges of your small/solo firm. Franklin County Municipal Court Holiday Schedule and Closing Information

Following is the holiday schedule and Municipal Court closing information for November and December 2011 and early 2012:

  • Court will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25; no 4-D either day.
  • 4-D open on Saturday, November 26 (Judge Hummer presiding).
  • 4-D open Saturday, December 24 (Judge Pollitt presiding). Court closed Monday, December 26; no 4-D.
  • 4-D open Saturday, December 31 (Judge Peeples presiding). Court closed Monday, January 2; no 4-D.
