Introducing Columbus Bar inc

The Columbus Bar, next month, will roll out a pilot program for newly admitted attorneys called Columbus Bar inc: A Professional Development Center. The “inc” in the name of the program is short for “incubator” – a program intended to accelerate the successful development of new lawyers in an environment that provides an array of business support resources.

During this one-year pilot of Columbus Bar inc, participation will be limited to eight individuals who have been admitted to practice law in Ohio within the last two years. The Columbus Bar will provide an affordable office facility, mentoring, training in practice management, and referrals from the CBA's Lawyer Referral Service and Lawyers for Justice Program.

Please Report Your Pro Bono Hours

The Ohio Supreme Court is asking attorneys to report pro bono service, voluntarily and anonymously, using an online reporting system. The Court sent an email the week of January 10th to every attorney on active status who has an email address on file. The email contains a link that attorneys may use to connect to the voluntary pro bono reporting website.
