If
your name in our bar directory resides somewhere from Mark Abel,
past Sherri Lazear and up to George Lyons, your December plans may
include spending 24 hours (or less) on completing your CLE requirements.
We’re here to help! Be sure to check out our great upcoming
CLE offerings, including Lincoln on Professionalism. If you are
registered for that November 19 presentation, you are one of the
lucky ones, because it’s sold out! But don’t despair
– we will repeat it in February. Call now and get your name
on the list.
Let
me know what you think of our commercial – you can follow
the link below, but you’ll also be seeing in on Channel 10-WBNS.
It’s tough for a lot of people in our community to navigate
legal issues and needs – we hope our new ad will help “smooth
the seas.”

Luxury
Boxes at the World Series
of Demolition
~by
Bruce Campbell, Bar Counsel
Mel
Allen, the late and nonpareil sportscaster (and a lawyer, by the
way) always described being in the best possible position in life
as “sitting in the catbird seat.” The phrase apparently
refers to the fact that catbirds choose the highest branch in the
highest tree on which to perch. Well, that is just where the CBA’s
offices are as the Columbus City Center completes its journey from
chichi palace of avarice to humongous rubble heap, and the view
is smashing – literally. Continue

provide. Watch

From

Columbus-based employers should plan to have 30% of their staff
out for two weeks in the next three months due to flu (some will
be home caring for sick kids, some will be sick themselves). The
number of reported cases grew by 20% again this week.
10 steps your business can take to help prepare for pandemic flu.
The
Columbus Bar is working to keep you healthy, too. We're instituting
a no handshake zone until flu season ends and we're providing plenty
of antibacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, hand soap and boxes of tissues.

Pricing at PrevaHealth for Columbus Bar Members
The best health strategy always has been to stay well and protect
your good health. The fact is that nearly 90% of the causes of death
and disability take years to develop and are preventable if they
are detected early. The single best test for identifying most diseases
in their earliest stages is the EBT scan. The test is accurate,
quick, and painless. As a benefit of your membership, the Columbus
Bar Association is offering discounted pricing at PrevaHealth for
current CBA members. Continue
