Suddenly it’s almost September. Ever notice
how our lives still seem to run on “school time” long
after we’ve graduated? The Columbus Bar will soon be back
in full swing - committee meeting, lots of outstanding CLE programs,
and the 2009 Preference Poll goes live today. I hope you’ve
had a great summer and we’re looking forward to seeing you
around here.

Back!
Summer
is fading fast and that means that the start of the Columbus Bar
Committee year is right around the corner! Beginning September 1,
all your favorite committees are back in action with monthly meetings
and other special activities. A complete list of meeting dates is
included in this newsletter.
New
for 2009, we’ve added a Consumer Financial Services and Banking
Committee under the leadership of Margaret Stolar, Dreher Tomkies
Scheiderer. The group will host its first “official”
meeting on Thursday, September 10 from noon to 1 p.m. Other exciting
new committees are coming soon so watch the Daily Reporter and the
Columbus Bar website for additional information!
Columbus
Bar committees provide a terrific way to network, stay on top of
the latest changes in your area of practice, and connect with your
bar association. Meetings are free and open to all Columbus Bar
members. If you have not signed up for a 2009-2010 committee, please
visit the committee section of www.cbalaw.org/committees
or call the office at 221.4112. As a committee member, you will
receive meeting notices, electronic materials, access to a committee
specific listserve, advanced notice of relevant CLE programs, and
a host of other benefits.
Detailed
information about each committee is located on our website at www.cbalaw.org/committees.
