HELP!
HELP! I read somewhere that if you wanted to get people's attention
you should yell HELP - or was that FIRE? I don't know, I can't remember,
but did it work?... because we need your attention for something
that is really important - our judicial performance poll. It's not
on paper anymore, you won't find it in your mailbox, but you WILL
find it below. If you would like to express your opinions on the
performance of the Municipal Court judges, just click "Take
the Poll."

Ben
Comes to the Bar

Anne Leonard-Palmer, Columbus Bar Association
Hopefully
by now you’ve noticed Ben Franklin gracing our Daily Reporter
page, in the email we sent out to members, on bright yellow buttons
the Columbus Bar staff is wearing, or posted on easels, monitors,
and even lunches in our offices. Why so much Ben you ask? Well,
Ben Franklin also happens to grace the $100 bill so we chose his
face to introduce our brand new CLE Easy Pass, just $100
for 12 hours of CLE at the Columbus Bar! Learn
more.
As
Jurors Turn to Web, Mistrials Are Popping Up
Last
week, a juror in a big federal drug trial in Florida admitted to
the judge that he had been doing research on the case on the Internet,
directly violating the judge’s instructions and centuries
of legal rules. But when the judge questioned the rest of the jury,
he
got an even bigger shock.
