MLK, Jr. Celebration
Join us on January 31 from 4-7pm at COSI

The CBA and Managing Partners Diversity Initiative are teaming up to offer Bar members a unique opportunity to commemorate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and be among the first in Columbus to tour the nationally acclaimed exhibit, RACE: Are We So Different? The Bar will host its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration with an evening at COSI on January 31.

The COSI event will take the place of the Bar's traditional King Luncheon, beginning at 4:00pm with a one-hour "Generational Conversation" featuring attorneys Melinda Molina, Carl Smallwood and Ben Espy. The panel will be moderated by members of the John Mercer Langston and Asian Pacific American Bar Associations. At 5:00pm, attendees will enjoy a variety of hors d'oeuvres and beverages and a private viewing of the RACE exhibit.

The RACE exhibit explores differences among people and explains the realities of race through interactive exhibit components, historical artifacts, iconic objects, compelling photographs, and multimedia presentations. While the exhibit will be at COSI from January 28-May 6, the Bar event on January 31 is closed to the general public and will allow Bar members and guests to tour the exhibit in a relaxed setting.

Tickets to the Celebration are $25 per person or $200 for a block of 10. Each event ticket includes parking, entrance to COSI and a private screening of the RACE exhibit, hors d'oeuvres, drink tickets, and entrance to the "Generational Conversation" panel discussion.

To reserve tickets, contact Donna Sweet at 614/221.4112 or donna@cbalaw.org. Reservation deadline is Thursday, January 26.
