Federal Court Committee

Mission

To provide a forum for Columbus Bar members to learn more about our U.S. District Court practice and procedures. To provide an opportunity for a direct dialogue with a number of the magistrate judges and judges of the Southern District of Ohio on topics of interest and concern to the federal practitioner. To build on the momentum begun in 1996-97 and continue to increase participation and involvement of Columbus Bar members in the Federal Court Committee.

A Message from the Committee Chair:

Thank you for visiting the Federal Court Committee webpage. I’m honored to chair the Committee this year and want to provide you with programming that adds value to your federal practice. We have an exciting year coming up, including hearing from new district and appellate judges, an update on changes to the local court rules (once adopted), and a law clerk panel. Please send me any ideas for programs, speakers, or topics that you would like to see, and let me know how the Committee can best serve you.
