Practice Pending Admission Resources

On May 14, 2020, the Supreme Court of Ohio announced that the July 2020 bar examination was postponed to September 2020. In an effort to assist recent law school graduates (2019 and 2020) faced with admission delays, the Court will allow qualifying recent graduates to apply to the Court to practice law pending admission to the bar beginning June 15, 2020.

For graduates who plan to pursue the PPA license, Capital University Law School has created a PPA Resources website with helpful information, checklists and links: https://law.capital.edu/pparesources

Supreme Court of Ohio's Bar Admissions Online Services

Applicants to be admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio must undergo a rigorous process that includes the submission of documents and information supporting certain requirements of education, credentials, character and fitness to be a licensed member of the bar.

Once an application is submitted in person or through the mail, the new Bar Admissions Online Services page will allow applicants to access information about their application, see where it is in the process, submit supplemental information and documents, and perform other tasks in one central location.
