Individual health coverage through the CBA

Open Enrollment starts on November 1, 2015 for health coverage starting in 2016!

Create your account at the Columbus Bar Marketplace to stay on top of key deadlines and current events.

Members of the CBA and their immediate families have access to individual health insurance plans through the Columbus Bar Association. Beginning November 1, use the CBA's private marketplace to shop for and purchase your own insurance - including health, dental and vision coverage. We’ll help you find the right plan for your budget and lifestyle. It can take as little as 12 minutes!

You may be able to buy your own health insurance before the next Open Enrollment period if you have had a “qualifying life event” (such as loss of coverage through your employer, loss of a job, marriage, divorce, birth/adoption of a child). You have 60 days after the qualifying event to submit your application.

Need help with the online marketplace? Please contact the call center at (855) 288-8189, Monday through Friday, 9:00am-9:00am, EST.

Obergefell v. Hodges

On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court of the United States recognized that all couples have a fundamental right to marriage, whatever their gender. In addition, each state must recognize a marriage that was entered into in a different jurisdiction. This means that marriage is the law of the land, and each state must allow couples of the same gender to marry.
