Picture of the productAnalysis of Obergefell: Where Do We Go From Here?

In a landmark United States Supreme Court decision, Obergefell v. Hodges effectively opened marriage and the rights it entails to all American adults, regardless of sexual orientation. Although this ruling is seen as a momentous achievement for LGBT rights activists, the decision is not without continued controversy and debate surrounds the future implications of the Court’s decision. “Analysis of Obergefell: Where Do We Go From Here?” will examine the law as it stands, the history of the fourteenth amendment, analyses of the case, arguments and decision, and a panel discussion of the decision’s implications. The event will also include a special appearance from Jim Obergefell, the lead plaintiff from Cincinnati at the heart of the case.
